Faces of CTE is a collaboration of sport families affected by
the mind robbing disease Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE)
dedicated to raising awareness and increasing brain donations
to further science and research to prevent/treat and cure CTE.
The annual CTE Awareness Day was established by surviving families of CTE victims to launch the “Faces of CTE” Awareness Campaign during SuperBowl LI.
The most important result from the “Faces of CTE” Awareness campaign is to increase brain donation to brain banks like the Mayo Clinic. To better understand CTE and prevent it, we urgently need more research.
In early 2019, the book, “Faces of CTE” will be released with more than a dozen sport CTE families contributing a chapter sharing their personal experience with the disease.
